Line Up

Most concerts at The Union have a big queue before doors open to get in the venue. This line get very long very fast on sold out show nights. It will wrap around a whole block very often. It is recommended to get there early if you are wanting a good view. It also might be smart to look for a line or group of people while walking to the concert venue. Many people will walk past the line and go to the front of the venue, just to see how long the line is, and have to walk a ways back and be further in line than if they just got in line the first time they saw it.

Views

If you happen to get the concert late, or when there is a big line ahead of you, there are a few tips to help you still see the show. When you get inside the venue, it is important to scope out the crowd. There often is less people on the sides than in the middle. Going to the sides of the venue is a good way to get closer, but you have to be cautious to not get caught behind a pole. As the concert goes on, the crowd will move a bit, and sometimes where you started is not where you end. So, when choosing a spot to stand, be aware of where the poles are in the venue are, and try to not get stuck by one, as it will affect and block your view. Another option is to stick in the back. When you are in the back where less people are, it is actually easier to see the stage than when you’re stuck in the middle of the pit and so far back. So, if you’re having trouble seeing, an option is to always go in the back, and you’ll be able to see more even though it’s further away.
